A Hard Day's Night [U.K. Version]

The first Beatles album to consist of all original Lennon/McCartney tracks, A Hard Day's Night was the soundtrack for the movie of the same name. John provided the most songs; 10 of the 13. The American version of the album, rather than featuring all 13 Lennon/McCartney tunes like the British LP, had only eight Beatles songs and four instrumental Beatles tunes as played by George Martin's Orchestra. The missing songs would find their way onto other U.S. Beatles albums or be released as singles. The album was nominated for a 1964 Grammy for Best Original Score Written For A Motion Picture Or TV Show. It won the 1964 Grammy for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal.
