The band was formed in the coast town of Port Elizabeth, South Africa in 1998. The purpose of the band, and why it came together, is to honor their friend Ben Herbert, who was killed in a car accident. As a side note, there is a Benjamin Gate mentioned in several parts of the Bible. mattimusb
