<body>Mic Christopher was born in the Bronx, New York in 1969 to Irish parents. In 1972 the family moved back to Dublin, Ireland. Mic started busking on the streets of Dublin at around 15. It was here he would meet many artists he would work with later in his career, including Glen Hansard of The Frames. In 1990 Mic formed the band The Mary Janes with Simon Good, Steven Hogan and former Kila bass player and fellow busker Karl Odlum. The Mary Janes released 2 albums, &quot;Bored Of Their Laughing&quot; and &quot;Sham&quot;. In 1999 The Mary Janes split and Mic embarked on a solo career.

Mic Christopher tragically passed away on 29 November 2001 in Groningen, Holland after an accident while on tour. On 29 November 2002 Mic's solo debut album &quot;Skylarkin&quot; was released at a special anniversary concert in Dublin.</body>
