Biography: Robert Haig Coxan

Born in Montreal, Canada, Robert studied composition at McGill University earning a Bachelor of Music degree.

He started to play the piano at age 1 ½ and to take lessons at the age of nine. His first composition was at 11 years of age and by 17 he was playing in bars and lounges.

Over the years Robert has had numerous musical experiences from being director of a Disco band, a teacher of music, to being a member of a Canadian group called The Bells.

He stopped playing commercially in order to compose his 1986 release, Christal Silence 1, The Silence Within, followed by Christal Silence 11, Beyond Dreaming and number 111, Inner Voyage. In 1995 he released his best known work The Silent Path, which became number 1 in Canada and France in New Age music.
