Emerging out of the New England underground industrial scene comes Intricate Unit, a hard-hitting 3-piece band fronted by founding member and brainchild Ben Kopec. Reminiscent of early Nine Inch Nails, KMFDM, and Ministry, Intricate Unit blends electronic drum beats, keyboard sequences and samples with live guitar and bass to create their own unique brand of neo-industrial rock. Based out of New Haven, CT., I.U. is taking the hard industrial scene by storm by planning many live dates and recording new material for an upcoming new release. Although the band has existed for a couple of years, in the fall of 2003 founding member Ben Kopec decided to start fresh and recruited new members Roger Lockshier on bass and Mark Turko on guitar, which immediately added a new dimension and heavier sound to the band.
