2001 Signed by Arista Records During a school trip to New York City the 16 year old Avril is signed to the record deal Arista Records. 2001 Begins Recording First Album After moving to New York, Avril, with a team of writers, begins writing and recording her first album. 2001 Begins Re-recording Ablum in LA After agreeing that the current album is poorly done, Avril and her managers decide to scrap the current songs and move her to LA to work with a new team.
