1943 - 1960 Chuck Girard is born August 27, 1943, in Los Angeles. His family moved around Southern California in the following years, settling in Santa Rosa, a town north of San Francisco. <BR><BR> While in high school, Chuck became interested in music. 1961 Chuck Girard, while only a senior in high school, and his band The Castells scores two Top 20 hits with the songs "So This Is Love" and "Sacred". <BR><BR> Chuck is pictured here second from the left in a publicity photo of the Castells. 1964 The Hondells break into the top twenty nationwide with the song "Go Little Honda". Chuck does the lead vocals but does not tour with the band. 1968 In the years following Chuck's moderate success, he forms a group called Love Song to play around the Los Angeles area.
