Pulse Ultra Canada 1999 It starts with childhood friends. Dominic and Jeff spent most of their lives creating music together. During high school they played local parties, and the not so often Battle of the Bands. But the band had a rotating doors and it lead to a temporary parting in ways during 1997. Next, they brought Maxx in, and everything started to get clear. Then in 1999, at a halloween party, Zo came into the picture. "I'm listening to this kids voice and I totally freaked out" -Dominic Cifarelli. During the summer of 2000, Taproot played a show in Montreal. Dominic being a huge fan, went to the tour bus with a six pack of beer. He chilled with the band for a couple of hours. Somewhere in that time, he passes over the latest demo, and almost immediately Mike DeWolf (guitarist of Taproot) was hooked. Dom called Taproot's manager... and that leaves them where they are today, signed with Velvet Hammer/Atlantic Records (Taproot, Poison The Well, System of a Down).
