<H4>Black Metal</H4> Death Metal or Black Metal grew out of the thrash metal in the late '80s. Black metal is solely about death, pain, and suffering. Musically it owes much to the complexity of bands like Metallica and the arty '70s bands. The fan base of this genre is basically a small and cult like group who needed more than what the popular '80 and '90s Metal bands had to offer.
