Jesus Music is Contemporary Christian Music before the term CCM was coined. Most assoiciated with the hippies and rockers who were converting to Christianity during the Jesus Movement of the late 1960s, the term covers Christian beat, folk, rock and country-rock artists from the early 1960s through about 1979, when the tag Contemporary Christian Music took over and has been used until today.

This category should cover bands and artists that started performing Contemporary Christian music anywhere from the early 1960s until the late 1970s. Bands and artists that began performing CCM after 19980 should not be included here.
