I'm a new editor for the Shopping/Recordings/Sound_Files/WEED category. Every day I'm shocked by something I read about the music industry - Clear Channel firing 90% of it's DJs to go to voice tracking, the RIAA hiring ex-cops to perform street raids, my favorite indy music store closing down. So I decided to do what I can to work with groups doing something positive for music. Weed came along and I got involved in that project by promoting it to artists, labels and fans. Then one of the Weed artists announced a new category on MusicMoz for Weed and here I am. This is a great place to be because both Weed and MusicMoz fit my criteria of music-friendly projects and any time I spend here will advance both projects simultaneously.I'm hoping to expand the category quickly but I also recognize that I'm completely new to MusicMoz, or DMOZ for that matter, and am bound to make some mistakes. So I'm open to any constructive criticism. I'm also going to be reading a lot of other categories to get a sense of how the place works.
