From Left to Right

Cover Art
Original release 1970.
Inventor Harold Rhodes pays tribute in the notes to Bill Evans' mastery of Rhodes' electric piano. And Evans skillfully shifts from playing electric to accoustic and back again - sometimes within one track. But it's The Dolphin, presented both before and after the flutes, strings, and percussion have been innovatively overlayed, that epitomizes this singular entry in Evans' celebrated discpgraphy.>br> This rare album is augmented here by four bonus tracks (10-13), culled from the remastered 18-CD The Complete Bill Evans on Verve.

Recorded October and November 1969, and march, April, and May 1970.
