Biography: Owen Fegan
After a recent but brief taste of major-label success with former band, the Irish born, Boston based Rubyhorse, Owen Fegan traded in his bandmates for a solo career and is now making his second bid for Rock and Roll success in 2004. The singer / songwriter / producer / multi-instrumentalist's 16 year, 3 album run with Rubyhorse peaked in 2002 with the Island Records release "Rise", an album which featured a guest performance by George Harrison on a track entitled "PunchDrunk", and the single "Sparkle" which became a sizable hit, reaching .17 on the Billboard charts that Summer after back-to-back international tours, and successful appearances on The David Letterman Show, Conan O'Brien and Good Morning America. Frustrated with major-label politics, Fegan left the band, moved from Boston to Brooklyn and spent a year in the studio writing for his own voice while producing and recording this new, more personal music. Much like his work with Rubyhorse, Fegan's solo work combines British pop and indie sensibilities with a playful American rock & roll swagger. This category needs an editor
