Biography:
With influences ranging from Cat Stevens & The Beatles to Pearl Jam & Stevie Ray Vaughan, High Holy Days is a four piece rock band that crafts melodic sounds and imagery, yet stays true to the hard spirit and raw emotion of great rock music. High Holy Days came together in the fall of 2000, playing shows in and around their home town of North Bay, Ontario. They moved from local gigs to playing clubs and festivals across the province. After meeting producer Graham Brewer, they decided to capture the energy of their live show and put it on CD. The result, after months of effort, was their indie debut, All My Real Friends.
Within weeks of completion, the album found its way into the hands of Roadrunner Records' Jamie Milligan. A few days later Jamie was sampling the sights & sounds of Northern Ontario, coming to North Bay to see the boys play to a packed hometown crowd. It was a blowout show and High Holy Days was quickly signed to Roadrunner Records. HHD has since played shows all across Canada, sharing the stage with many great bands, including Our Lady Peace, I Mother Earth, The Headstones, Sam Roberts, Swollen Members, Theory Of A Deadman, The Trews & 3 Days Grace
