Biography: Nicky Wire
His real name is Nicholas Allen Jones. Born 20 January 1969 in Tredegar, Wales. His parents are Irene and Allen, he has one brother, Patrick, and is married to Rachel.
He plays the bass and writes lyrics. Called the Wire because of his long (6'4"), thin frame. He is bit of a 'Paranoid Android', really, when it comes to eating, travelling...life. It is likely that he suffers from obsessive compulsive disorder, hypochondria, and a touch of Tourette's syndrome, not to mention that dodgy liver of his and the bad back, the bad knees, the thyroid cysts...Calamity Jane Wire. That's him.
He loves hoovering (Dyson is his brand of choice), TV ("I've learned more from TV than I ever did at university"), cross dressing, watching sports on TV, and walking his dog.
