Rent opens at the Nederlander Theater on the 100th anniversary of the original La Bohème. Idina plays Maureen.

Idina is nominated for Best Actress (Featured Role--Musical) for her role of Maureen in Rent.
September 15th, 1998: Released Album Still I Can't Be Still
The album was recorded at Bearsville Studio in Woodstock, New York in between performances of Rent.

Idina married fellow performer Taye Diggs (who she met in Rent).
