Simply Slang

Sporting black leather and ripped t-shirts, hard rockers Simply Slang can best be described as a hybrid between the blues, 80's glam metal and 70's punk rock.

Armed with electric guitars and Marshall stacks, this Chicago-based quartet cranks out sleazy, three-minute anthems full of DIY-attitude and rock 'n' roll excess.

Simply Slang, originally known as Deadline, was formed in 2002 by singer/guitarist Aaron Morales, who solidified the band?s lineup with bassist Rick Robledo, drummer David Gonzales and guitarist Jeff Novak.

In 2003, Simply Slang cut their teeth on the Midwest club circuit, playing (and partying) anywhere and everywhere they could, subsequently earning a reputation as the loudest, rowdiest, most hell-raising band to ever come out of the Windy City.

On the strength of their live shows and original material, they were signed by Platinum Realm Entertainment, and released their self-titled debut EP in June 2004.
