Biography: WDC the next big Vancouver band
Vancouver, BCs four-piece WDC is getting set for a busy summer in 2003. The band will be on tour promoting their independently released 12-track self-titled album, which features the single "Makes You Feel." This album and was co-produced by Nickleback's omnipresent frontman Chad Kroeger.WDC was formed back in 1998 by songwriters Pete Couillard and Chad Oliver. They began with two acoustic guitars and vocals and later brought aboard bassist Jason Bonnell and drummer Steve Ballstadt to form the band. In 2002 the band won Vancouver's prestigious Seeds Contest, which is put on annually by radio station 99.3 the Fox. By winning the contest, WDC won a spot on CFOX's Seeds compilation CD. Former winners of the contest include Bif Naked, Nickleback and Matthew Good. And we all know how things turned out for them.
