Wedlock Live at 2008 Carrboro Music Festival
When I went to see Wedlock, it reminded me of all the fun times I had watching some of my favorite indie bands. The performance was energetic, upbeat and quite engaging. I saw a few people dancing right out in front of them because they were playing underneath some radio station call letters and you had a head on view of them. It was a little cramped, but I didn't mind. Their whole set was not very long,maybe 30 minutes or so, but I especially enjoyed the female drummer and the lead singer's outfit. It looked like he was wearing a white wedding dress or something. Its a great feeling knowing that you can come from an Anime/Magna genre background like mine and then discover an appreciation for a small electronic indie band like them delivering as much passion and expression as any so-called "popular" band. You can hear some of their songs on myspace which is awesome. I find myself listening to them at least a couple times a week. If you get a chance you may want to check this band out.I'm not local, but apparently they are to North Carolina. I didn't pay anything to see them, but I bought one of their CDs to take with me.
