Newtown's best export
Royal In The Afternoon sees Newtown's best export, The Whitlams, picking up the rhythm to deliver a foot tapping slice of feel good piano driven rock that will demand a reaction from the listener. Jangling guitars, some nifty electric solos and a warm female backing vocal add a nice touch and compliment the distinctive tones of frontman Tim Freedman. There is a huge audience out there for The Whitlams and if there was ever a way for commercial radio to reach them, this is it.
