- B & J Say Smallpipes - Price List - All our pipes are made to traditional designs, from African blackwood (Dalbergia melanoxylon). Metalwork is normally nickel-plated brass, though brass finish and silver plate are also available. Mountings are usually of GPS 'alternative ivory' - horn is also available, and drone stocks are hardwood as available. (GPS is an ivory replacement developed by museums for restoration work - it has a grain, and does not yellow in the way that earlier substitutes did.)
- Northumbrian Smallpipes, English Bagpipes, Scottish Borders, UK - David Burleigh - Available are Northumbriam Smallpipes ranging from the basic 7 key chanter standard drone set to 17 key sets with six drones - all made in African blackwood which has the finest tone potential of any known wood. Metalwork is brass or silver and trimmings in imitation ivory. The pipe bag is hand stitched leather with covers of velvet, shepherd's plaid or tartan.
