Band co-founder Amy Lee is born.

1994: Band Founders Met

Band founders Amy Lee and Ben Moody meet at church camp. Moody heard Lee while she is playing Meat Loaf's "I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" at the piano.

January 3rd, 1999: "Evanescence" EP Released

First EP of the band; it is released on 100 limited CD-R's at a show in Little Rock and sells out that very night.

Second EP, on a limited run of 50 CD-R's.

November 4th, 2000: "Origin" Released

First full-length release of the band. Not a real album though, just a collection of demos, some of which will end up in their first real album, "Fallen".

February 4th, 2003: "Daredevil" Soundtrack Released

This soundtrack features two songs by Evanescence: "Bring Me To Life" and "My Immortal". This release marks the beginning of their international success.

January 16th, 2004: New Band Member

Terry Balsamo from Cold joins Evanescence as a replacement for Ben Moody at the lead guitar.
