Dolly's 1992 Concert With Kenny Rogers
I had the pleasure back in 1992 of going to my very first Dolly concert. I was so excited that I was actually going to see and hear my favorite performer live. I'll tell you, I was blown away with Dolly Parton! She is such an awesome talent and we are so lucky to have her still today cutting records, making appearances, and fighting to have her music played on the radio. Dolly is about the "realest" person that you'll ever meet. I met her at a Holiday Inn the next morning after the show as she was getting ready to load back up on her bus and head to her next show somewhere. She took the time to visit with me and you'd think you were talking to your mother (she was so real and down to earth!) Dolly sure made an impression on me and if you'll go to one of her shows, she'll make an impression on you as well. Please go out and buy Dolly's records and request the local radio stations to play her music. This talented lady deserves to be heard just as much as the "younger" country ladies do. Fans CAN make a difference!
